The Newman Association is a student-run Catholic organization that serves the Lafayette community and city of Easton, Pennsylvania.

Although primarily a Catholic organization, Newman Association welcomes individuals of all religions. Newman offers a wide range of activities from which students can choose their involvement, including:

  • Student-run weekly Mass, in which students serve as readers, Eucharistic ministers, altar servers, liturgical band, etc.
  • Weekend retreats each semester in either Cape May (fall) or the Newman House (spring) that give students a chance to escape the chaos of school and reflect on their faith.
  • Weekly spirituality group meetings for students to stay connected to their faith while away at college.
  • Weekly discussion group to examine contemporary religious issues and topics.
  • Service opportunities that offer students a chance to connect with the Easton community (Giving Tree, Frisbee Golf Tournament, etc.).
  • Social events planned by students that include game nights, trips (corn maze, ice skating), and activities after Newman meetings.
  • Dinners that are open to the entire campus community and are often themed (Halloween costume dinner, Valentine’s Day dinner, etc.).

Check out our website for more information.   The Newman Association creates a caring environment in which students can explore their own personal interests while still being united by their faith. Newman meets every Monday night at 9 p.m. in the Newman House (119 McCartney Street).
