The Interfaith Council is an alliance of students and advisors from the major religious and spiritual traditions represented at Lafayette.
Interfaith Council meets regularly to discuss programming ideas and issues affecting people of faith on campus. The Statement of Purpose is as follows:
- Lafayette College should provide the opportunity for students to freely explore any religious tradition of their choosing, including none at all, if such is their desire. The Interfaith Council works to enhance this ideal.
- Religious traditions have inherent value, and believers have the right to practice the tenets of their faith, and should be accorded proper respect and freedom pertaining to the same.
- When carrying out their highest purpose, the religious organizations at Lafayette, through the Interfaith Council, shall act as allies for one another.
